How to buy Bitcoin without KYC
The realistic ways to get BTC without handing over your identity — from crypto you already hold, or from cash — with today’s rates and the trade-offs of each.
01Step zero: a Bitcoin wallet you control
Every route below ends with bitcoin arriving at an address, so start there. Install a non-custodial wallet — on a phone or a computer, or a hardware wallet if you are putting real savings away — create it, and write its recovery phrase (12 or 24 words) on paper. That phrase is the money: whoever has it has the coins, and nobody can recover it for you.
Modern wallets give you addresses starting with bc1q (native SegWit) or
bc1p (Taproot). Either is fine, and both cost less to spend later than the old formats
starting with 1 or 3. Use a fresh address for each purchase: wallets hand
you a new one every time you press “Receive”.
02Route 1 — you already hold crypto: swap it
This is the simple case, and the one this site exists for. Pick what you hold, paste your BTC address, send one deposit. The bitcoin is paid to your wallet, typically within the hour — no account is opened and no document is asked for, at any amount.
| You send | You get | Arrives in | Swap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 USDT (TRC20) | 0.0118403 BTC | 10-60 min | USDT → BTC |
| 0.4 ETH | 0.0121925 BTC | 10-60 min | ETH → BTC |
| 8 SOL | 0.0110628 BTC | 10-60 min | SOL → BTC |
| 12 LTC | 0.0094911 BTC | 10-60 min | LTC → BTC |
| 4 XMR | 0.0260891 BTC | 10-60 min | XMR → BTC |
| 1,000 USDC (ERC20) | 0.0118952 BTC | 10-60 min | USDC → BTC |
Live floating quotes at 14:38 UTC for roughly 1,000 USD of each asset, network fees included. The smallest swap from USDT on TRC20 is 16.8499 USDT right now. Your own amount is quoted on each pair page.
Which asset to start from? The one you have. If you are choosing what to acquire first, a stablecoin on TRON or Solana is cheap to move, and a Bitcoin payout costs the same whatever you send. The satoshi converter tells you what an amount is worth in sats before you start.
03Route 2 — starting from cash or a bank account
Here honesty matters more than optimism. Card processors and banks are regulated, so a business that takes your card or your transfer has to know who you are. “Buy bitcoin with a card, no verification” is either limited to small amounts or not what it claims. The routes that do exist:
Peer-to-peer trades
Platforms — some of them decentralised software that holds nothing itself — where individuals trade with each other, the bitcoin locked in escrow until the payment is confirmed. You pay the seller directly: cash in person, cash by mail, a bank transfer. The platform may not ask who you are; your counterparty sees whatever your payment method reveals. Check reputation, start small, and never release a payment outside the escrow flow.
Bitcoin ATMs
Cash in, bitcoin out to a QR code from your wallet. Requirements depend on the country and the operator: many ask for a phone number, and most require ID above a threshold. Fees are high — often 8 to 15 percent — and the machine’s exchange rate is its own.
Earning it
Being paid in bitcoin for work or sales involves no purchase at all — and no intermediary. Ask for a fresh address from your own wallet for each payment.
04The routes side by side
| Route | You need | Typical cost | Speed | Who learns what |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swap crypto you hold | Any crypto + a BTC wallet | Network fees + a margin inside the rate | 10–60 min | Both chains are public; nobody holds your identity |
| Peer-to-peer trade | Cash or a payment method, patience | A premium over market, a few percent | Minutes to days | Your counterparty sees your payment details |
| Bitcoin ATM | Cash, a BTC wallet | High: often 8–15% | Minutes, plus confirmation | Often a phone number; ID above a limit; a camera |
| Being paid in BTC | Something to sell, a BTC wallet | The network fee | One confirmation | Whoever pays you |
05After it arrives
- Wait for confirmations. One confirmation takes about ten minutes; for a large amount, wait for a few more before you count on it.
- Keep it in your wallet. Sending it on to an exchange account hands your identity back to the first platform that asks.
- Back up once, properly. The recovery phrase on paper, in a place that survives a burglary and a flood. No photo, no cloud note.
- Mind the rules where you live. Buying bitcoin is legal in most countries, and so is holding it; taxes usually apply when you sell or swap. It is your responsibility to check — the terms say the same.
06Questions people ask
Can I buy bitcoin with a credit card here?
No. This desk swaps crypto for crypto only — no cards and no bank transfers, in either direction. If you hold any other coin or token, you can turn it into BTC here without an account.
What is the minimum amount?
From USDT on TRC20 it is 16.8499 USDT right now; each pair has its own live minimum, set by the network fees involved. The module on every pair page shows it before you send.
Is there a limit before identity checks start?
There is no verification tier at all here, so no amount triggers one. Each pair has a live minimum and maximum set by liquidity; the module shows both before you send.
What is the cheapest crypto to swap into BTC?
The margin is similar across pairs; what differs is the network fee of the coin you send. Stablecoins on TRON or Solana, Litecoin and Solana itself are cheap to move; an ERC20 token on Ethereum costs more. On small amounts that difference is most of the cost.
